- Forrest Gump -
We at Lemonade Stand Animation created a set of characters (including Liz) to represent many of the business owners we have worked with in the past 10 years.
For us, Liz represents the greatness of every small business owner, the aspiration of creating a difference in people’s lives, the pursuit of a legacy and impact, the curiosity to learn more, and the never ending journey of wisdom seeking and contribution. As such, we believe there is a little Liz in each one of us.
One might ask, and we’re quite sure you’re thinking that right now – why did we develop characters and story lines. We believe that the community of business owners have a lot of hard earned knowledge and experiences that are not taught in our school systems and are not easily accessible. Our goal is to harness that collective knowledge of business adventures, lessons learned over the years, books that have inspired us, tools and apps that have helped us be more efficient, and along the way, some good old story telling of business memories into a community of knowledge sharing and, just as importantly, who says we can’t have fun along the way!
So let’s meet our business owner, Liz:
Hi! I’m Liz, Forrest Gump is one of my favorite movies and the above quote pretty much sums up my life up to now. I am almost 30 years old (although a lady should never reveal her age) and I have 2 adorable, cute very young kids and a sweet (no pun intended) husband.
My life has been like a box of chocolate, really! I started my chocolate store five years ago, I was young and naïve, I thought I will conquer the world with sweetness and I did, but at the same time it seems that my little business has been conquering me. You know what I mean, right? And then, as in the movies, something unexpected happened. I met some of the most unique, eccentric, wise and fun people that walk our planet. They taught me the language of business and their only request was for me to share my acquired business knowledge. I promised them to do just that.
So here I am, I swear, I never thought I will write a blog, you see, I am much more of a people person than a paper person, I like to talk to people, I love chocolate, I am mad about life, but to write? But…a promise is a promise, so here we go. I promise to share all my business adventures, the lessons I have learned, books I’ve read, tools and apps that helped me, and even some of my sweet (and bitter) business memories.
I promise you will learn a lot, laugh quite a bit, and I will ask you in return to share the learning with your friendly small business owners, it does work you know.
And most important, please share your thoughts, comments and suggestions with all the readers.

Web site (don’t ask me to explain what these things actually mean :-))
My web site is built on WordPress 3.5 (pssst…that’s what my designer tells me), and my theme is called zeeBizzCardPro. I like this theme for its simplicity. It’s classic and clean. Sage captured my thoughts with his great illustration and other graphics found thru out the site. I highly recommend his work.
Let the odyssey begin, I always wanted to say that
